I had a mid-range hairdryer from a popular brand die on me recently (white dryer in review photo). Compared to that dryer, the Ventris dries faster, has a much narrower concentrator (which offers more control/ less frizz), and is lighter weight and easier to hold. The highest speed is so powerful, when I pointed it toward the ceiling, my fan started moving! I also like the mesh basket that's around the exhaust. It's easy to access, and comes with a little brush for easy cleaning.It does have some quirks, but the drying power makes up for those quirks. It comes with a travel bag, which is really nice, but does not seem large enough to fit the dryer, concentrator, and diffuser all together. When you turn the power button on/off, it takes a couple seconds for the dryer to actually turn on/off. And there is air loss through the base of the dryer where the power cord connects and on the handle where the folding joint is. I was a little worried by that, but was assured by the manufacturer that it's due to their "patented CoolGrip technology, which prevents the handle from heating up."I've gone through several mid-range hairdryers over the past decade, and this is the most effective one so far.

I really like this lightweight dryer that is fairly quiet yet has some powerful drying ability. It is an ionic dryer meaning it uses negative ions which help to tame frizz and protect hair. It comes with two magnetic attachments -- a large diffusor and a smaller styling nozzle. Also included is a small brush to keep it clean and a very nicely made zippered storage bag with inner divider so you can pack EVERYTHING into the bag and keep it tidy.You have a basic on/off switch and a temperature and airflow button -- three levels each. This is nicely shown on the side of the drawer with blue LED lights. There's also a "cold shot" button just above the on/off switch, so if the drying starts to feel too warm, you can just press that and instant cool.What I like most about this ionic drying is that it is foldable -- you twist the handle and it becomes very compact so is perfect for travel. It also has a safety plug with reset button, should you need that. AND there's an auto-cleaning function; the directions are included in the small manual.The three temps and drying power settings are all good, and I like that the handle also feels very comfortable/ergonomic while drying. As with many ionic dryers, this one works quickly and leaves the hair nicely dried without feel 'fried.' Overall a super nice set (the storage bag in particular is really well made). It is pricey but of a great quality that should last many, many years. A recommend from me!

I ordered this very attractive, portable blow dryer for traveling but this is perfect for at home as well.This folds down so nice and easy for storing and traveling.The power and heat output is great.It is lightweight and easy to hold.It has a memory to start up at the same setting it was previously.The cool shot automatically turns it to the cool setting and press it again and it will go back (no need to hold the button).The included storage case is very impressive and has a cloth divider that you can also store the included condenser and diffuser or store your curling wand or iron.The attachments are magnetic but the filter cover is not and it takes some effort to pop it off for clean.There is a cool automatic filter cleaning, you just need to press the long press the temperature and the airflow button and it will automatically reverse the airflow (a handy feature for sure).Nice silicone cord keeper not Velcro.This is just perfect for traveling yet I could not see any information or sticker to indicate this is duel voltage, I would expect this at this price point (maybe I somehow missed this in the info I read).
